A graphic design professor of China Academy of Art.
She graduated from the visual communication design department of China academy of arts in 2001 with a master’s degree.
In the same year, she stayed at school to teach. She graduated from the visual communication design department of China academy of fine arts with a bachelor’s degree in 1997.
2007 province “new century 151 talent project” the third level of personnel training.
In 2004, professor Hu. graduated from the school of communication, university of the arts London, UK, majoring in font and layout design, with a master’s degree in art.
2005.9-2007.7 served as deputy director of graphic teaching and research office of visual communication design department.
From July to October 2006, she went to Paris international art city in France, Denmark, Germany, Britain and other places for investigation.

In her lecture, she had told about “the BOOK”.
Books in different forms. Many of designer like to use books to create art works. They hollow out the book to create some landscape architecture, cut the pages into the shape of a tree, make a new shape out of many books. It’s a really interesting thing to use books which we always think are boring to innovate it to another shape.
Art books are books, not just books. It was a rebellious kid in the “book of books” family who didn’t like conformity: why did it have to be a certain size? Why is there only one way to open it? Why should be limited to a few conventional paper? At the same time, it has a strong sense of self and a focus on presenting its content in the most appropriate way — sometimes in tattered pamphlets, sometimes in beautifully printed albums of fine art, sometimes even in books. Of course, it is also a great drama essence, always can find some gimmicks posted on their own body, to attract attention. This may be why when people see “art books” at a glance among many books, they will exclaim “they are so beautiful”.
Material as a book. “ Everything can be a book” Material can speak by themsevles without words in the book art. Books, physical objects and repositories of information, are being displaced by zeros and ones in a digital universe with no physicality. Through book art, artists document this and raise questions about the fragile and ephemeral nature of books and their future. The designer make a book in a circle writes what people do in lifetime, Ice book, Wooden book, Matchstick book, Soap book, Wings book, CAI Guoqiang’s gunpowder book, Yoko ono’s fur book, Denise hawrysio’s killing book, Mirror book, String book and so on.
How to link book art with book design. Like a Japanese company prints news on the water bottle or the make the filter paper become a book.
Professor Hu. had also did an art work which was made by black tea.
Tea book was made by black tea. One side was written Chinese another side was written English: Drink tea every day or you will get sick. She used Chinese traditional skill that called movable type printing. This art work combines traditional Chinese culture: tea and movable type printing. It looks very antique and amusing.
