Biography

Dave first studied Industrial Design at Brigham Young University in the United States.  Afterward he worked as a professional Industrial/Product Designer for the over 13 years designing consumer products for brands such as Nike, Coleman, Rubbermaid, Eagle Creek, Rawlings, BlendTec, and Phillips to name a few.  He has mainly worked in the outdoor and sporting goods markets but has also worked on medical products, housewares, and other markets both as an inhouse designer and as a consultant.  He began teaching about 5 years ago at the University level by chance and since then has caught the teaching bug.  Dave continues to work as a professional design consultant to compliment his academic work.  He found a love for China through his professional interactions and friendships developed through business work through the years.  Dave is excited to be here with his family and be a part of this amazing place that is China…
