The School of Architecture and Design of Wenzhou-Kean University held a symposium on the theme of “Infrastructures and Landscape” on December 7. This symposium specially invited well-known academic circles and practitioners at home and abroad, architects, designers, environmental scientists, and urban planners to discuss important issues of urban design, which is one of the event series of “making design public” hosted by WKU Michael Graves College. The seminar aims to improve the living environment of the city by mobilizing multidisciplinary expertise in architecture, graphic design, interior design, and industrial design.

This symposium focuses on the infrastructure in modern cities. Through the in-depth exchanges among the guests, it explores the status of basic design as the last public connection in the city, discusses the special conceptualization of rural landscape through the landscape research field, and the combination of landscape urbanization, regional and urban planning, landscape design and architecture Means to design modern infrastructure and solve the urban problem of recycling infrastructure as public space.
