2007 province “new century 151 talent project” the third level of personal training.

In her lecture, she had told about “the BOOK”.

Books in different forms. Many designers like to use books to create artworks.    It’s a really interesting thing to use books which we always think are boring to innovate it to another shape.

Art books are books, not just books.  It was a rebellious kid in the “book of books” family who didn’t like conformity: why did it have to be a certain size?  Why is there only one way to open it?  Why should be limited to a few conventional papers?

Material as a book. “ Everything can be a book” Material can speak by themselves without words in the book art.  , Ice book, wooden book, matchstick book, soap book, wing’s book,  gunpowder book,  Fur book, killing book, mirror book, string book and so on.

How to link book art with book design.  Like a Japanese company prints news on the water bottle or the make, the filter paper becomes a book.

Professor Hu. had also done an artwork which was made of black tea.

Tea book was made by black tea.  One side was written Chinese another side was written English: Drink tea every day or you will get sick. She used Chinese traditional skill called movable type printing.  This artwork combines traditional Chinese culture: tea and movable type printing.  It looks very antique and amusing.
