The“Modern Bamboo Inlay Exhibition”is going to open on Sunday, March 30, at the Youth Co-Creation Space in Kucun Village (Nanpuxi Town, Taishun County).
The Modern Bamboo Inlay exhibition showcases a bold vision for the future of bamboo inlay, a delicate Chinese traditional technique rooted in centuries of heritage.
The exhibition presents the results of an experimental collaboration between master artisan Zhang Jinda and a group of young industrial design students led by Prof. Maurizio Vrenna (faculty of Michael Graves College of Architecture and Design). Their work explores new possibilities—integrating modern aesthetics, alternative materials, and contemporary production techniques while preserving the essence of bamboo inlay’s meticulous artistry.
